Coffee Plantation

After we visited the Butterfly Farm we took a bus ride to the Coffee Plantation. The people who ran the tour were comedians/actors, who also walked us through the sight of the coffee plantation. They told us all the different stages that a coffee bean goes through until it is sold in the store and in your home brewing. We first walked through the plantation where there is an abundance of rainforest plants along with, of course, the coffee plants. They explained the proccess and how it begins with a little white flower and once the flower falls off it uncovers a grean bean. From there the layers of the bean are taken off until they reach the very middle which is the black coffee bean. Following the description was close to the end of the tour where the tour guides gave us a theatrical show. They asked for two helpers and Kara and Lane anxiously volunteered!
